Transforming Communication to Build a Unified Culture

Transforming Communication to Build a Unified Culture
Financial Services
Over 400 employees, managing over £17 billion in assets
“Game-changing to how I approach all work- life communications.”
Chief Operations Manager
A financial services firm managing over £17 billion in assets needed to unite 400 employees after a major acquisition. The firm recognised that consistent, high-quality communication - both internally and externally - was key to maintaining growth and client confidence.
The Challenge
After the acquisition, the organisation struggled with cultural differences. The merging teams had different values, ways of working, and goals, leading to silos and friction. As a result, they faced:
>> Poor internal collaboration
>> Inconsistent, disengaging external communication
The Cause
We identified two main issues:
>> Cultural Mismatch: The differences between the two teams’ cultures hindered integration.
>> Unclear Communication Frameworks: Without a clear strategy, external messaging lacked clarity and confidence.
These challenges put both the company’s internal culture and its market presence at risk.
Our Approach
To address this, we implemented our "Speak, Listen: Act" Academy - a tailored communication and collaboration programme designed to drive cultural change and improve performance:
Executive Coaching
One-on-one coaching for senior leaders helped improve communication skills and align their leadership styles with the firm’s goals.
Workshops
Group masterclasses were designed to encourage collaboration, break down silos, and create shared accountability. Leaders walked away with actionable strategies to improve internal and external communication.
Ongoing Support
We ran the programme quarterly, ensuring long-term impact and consistency. The focus was on embedding new behaviours to support a unified culture.
